Anthony Gerardi

Anthony has a strong track record and extensive experience leading and implementing innovation initiatives for companies in a multitude of industries, including business to consumer and business to business firms. His innovation expertise coupled with his private equity and international background is extremely valuable helping organizations fuel domestic and international grow through organic initiatives, acquisitions, and strategic investments and partnerships. He has led companies through the acceleration of growth, creation of new platforms, and improved market results in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

He has accumulated a strong track record as an innovation strategist and active investor, using innovation strategies and methods to improve the performance of clients and portfolio companies. He helps organizations build an innovation competency to dramatically increase the likelihood and repeatable of successful innovations. He leads teams through the entire innovation process from research and ideation to implementation

Previously Anthony was with Prophet, a brand strategy firm, as the partner developing and accelerating its innovation practice, including the acquisition of Play, an innovation firm. Prior to Prophet, he was practice leader at Doblin, the innovation strategy firm, and a leader in driving the strategy and growth of the business including the sale of Doblin to the Monitor Group, a global consulting firm. He led the largest domestic and international engagements, including those in Seoul, South Korea, and Zurich, Switzerland. Leading global teams to create innovation strategies and transform company cultures, developing new business models, brands, offerings, and customer experiences for public and private companies. Clients successfully deployed these strategies to fuel innovation through both organic growth and acquisitions.

Prior to Doblin, he with MetLife in New York where he co-led, built, and managed the innovation and strategic private equity team. At MetLife his team improved the performance of business units through innovation strategies, external strategic investments, and partnerships. He led private equity investments as partner in the private equity group of Divine InterVentures. He started his corporate career in GE’s management training program, primarily leading innovation initiatives in Europe for three years prior to joining GE’s private equity group. His strong private equity track record includes leading investments for MetLife, Divine, and General Electric (GE) with over $100 million of investment experience. His growth equity investments have fueled innovation and growth and include firms that have gone public and merged with public companies: Citrix Systems (CTXS), Gemalto (EuroNext: GTO), Hologic (HOLX), Insight Imaging (ISGT), and Bravo Health (still privately held).

A resident of Chicago, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Northern Illinois University and an executive MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.
